Those who have played the military-themed battle royale as long as someone like Dr Disrespect have pointed out all kinds of different issues that have popped up over the years. Most of those problems have to do with Warzone glitches that give one player an unfair advantage over others. However, the streamer believes one of the things that gives one player an advantage over another the most is when one uses a controller and the other uses a mouse and keyboard.

Dr Disrespect has not made it a secret over the years that he wants to “save” Call of Duty: Warzone from itself. The first step would be to have different lobbies for those who are using a mouse and keyboard and those that are using a controller. He also thinks these different lobbies should have separate playlists. “Design specific playlists, like Halo did,” he suggested according to Dexerto.
He added that Halo’s multiplayer mode had dedicated PC playlists where people would only play against other people that were on PC. He added that the same was done for those who were playing on console. The playlists were separated by peripheral, and he believes Warzone devs could do the same, and then “build from there.”
Dr Disrespect’s latest revelation came from when he went up against a Warzone player who was using a controller. The YouTube streamer said that using a controller gave this other player a distinct advantage. He even told the other player that he was “so lucky” that his opponent was playing using a controller because otherwise the streamer would have been able to take him down. In pitching his idea of splitting up the lobbies, he said the developers could even change the way weapons feel when using keyboard and mouse compared to controller.
The streamer did acknowledge that there are almost certainly new problems that would arise from this particular solution. Right at the top of the list is that it could affect wait times for certain lobbies if there weren’t enough PC players on in an area, or vice versa when it comes to console users. There’s also some question as to what would happen should a PC player decide to go with a controller on their rig, rather than using the keyboard. Dr Disrespect said he understands that his idea isn’t fully fleshed out yet, but he believes it’s a step in the right direction.
