On a recent Twitch stream, Dr DisRespect talked about out the wingsuit, a reference to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout battle royale mode. He said that he might bust out the wingsuit next week, and added, “Just don’t forget this conversation, gentlemen. […] Next week you’re gonna see the wingsuit.”

Following these comments, many in Dr DisRespect’s Twitch chat guessed that he was referring to the long-rumored Modern Warfare Warzone battle royale mode. The crypticness of his comments certainly seemed to suggest that he was teasing something special instead of just playing Black Ops 4 next week, but he quickly shot down the speculation. “No, it’s not Warzone. No, it’s not confirmed,” he said. He added, “That’s not what I’m saying. I didn’t mean that.”

Despite his denial, there are those who are still convinced that Dr DisRespect was indeed referring to a Modern Warfare Warzone release date for next week and decided to backpedal. If Modern Warfare’s Warzone battle royale mode is launching next week, then it seems likely that Dr DisRespect would know about it ahead of time, as video game companies often make deals with popular streamers to stream new games and modes at launch to drum up interest.

If Modern Warfare’s Warzone battle royale mode does release next week, the most likely date for it to drop would be Tuesday, March 10. March 10 has been one of the rumored Warzone release dates for quite some time now, with multiple leaks pointing to that as the mode’s official launch.

Whether or not Warzone comes to Modern Warfare next week remains to be seen. However, if it does, it won’t be all that surprising to see Dr DisRespect streaming it. That is, if he can avoid getting into any more confrontations with The Undertaker.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
