Although he wasn’t invited to try the Warzone 2 DMZ game mode ahead of launch like many other popular content creators, Dr Disrespect watched others in order to give his fans a proper response to the new change. Dr Disrespect has been a known Call of Duty: Warzone streamer since the battle royale’s early days, and he’s even uninstalled the client in rage after various in-game issues that have been noted along the way. With Dr Disrespect and his studio Midnight Society working on their own FPS that may rival games like Apex Legends and Warzone 2, the two-time is regularly checking what works and what doesn’t in the successful games in the genre.

During a November 9 YouTube Gaming livestream, Dr Disrespect was watching DrLupo explore the Warzone 2 DMZ mode as he stated that there’s, “too much AI.” Although Escape from Tarkov has AI enemies known as Scavs, Dr Disrespect noted an abundance of “unnecessary shots and fights” with these NPCs compared to Battlestate Games’ FPS. According to Dr Disrespect, the DMZ AI is too easy, and the big Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map may also be a problem with the game mode as he suggested that it has a questionable design as he gave a skeptical look.
Suggesting that some Warzone 2 fans may get bored with the DMZ mode quickly, Dr DIsrespect wondered whether it gets to a point of repetition with objectives, or if there are “very unique missions and objectives even after so many hours played of this mode?” Although Escape from Tarkov has some overlapping goals for players to complete, Dr Disrespect may be pointing at objectives in other popular games like Apex Legends or Fortnite battle pass challenges as things the DMZ mode should avoid. While Dr Disrespect is regularly playing the latest Call of Duty titles, it’s currently unclear if he plans to delve much into Warzone 2’s DMZ mode given his preference for battle royale.
Though many Dr Disrespect fans have responded to his recent YouTube livestream with surprise at his excitement for Warzone 2, others had some criticisms of their own for Call of Duty’s take on a DMZ game mode. As multiple Call of Duty: Warzone players have reflected Dr Disrespect’s thoughts on the DMZ mode, others feel that the UI should be cleaned up, and it needs Escape from Tarkov staples like healing mechanics, a complex inventory, and more.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 releases on November 16 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
