Players capitalized on this and managed to capture some gameplay of Ultra Instinct by using the tried-and-true “Ginyu Body Swap” method. They then posted the gameplay online, revealing most, if not all, of Ultra Instinct Goku’s toolkit.

The footage itself isn’t in the best of quality: It was recorded off of someone’s tv screen rather than being screen-recorded. Still, it does its job showing off the character. Viewers get to see his normals, his supers, and even his move-list, which, sadly, doesn’t have reliable translations yet. However, unlike most characters in the game, Ultra Instinct Goku has three whole pages dedicated to his move-list, so he’ll offer players some depth and longevity when it comes to mastering him.
Dragon Ball FighterZ players will be happy to know that the leaked gameplay confirms Ultra Instinct Goku has a reflect. Ever since Bandai Namco first announced the character, fans worried Arc System Works would fit him with a Videl-like spot dodge instead. Spot dodges don’t allow players to get their opponents off of them like reflects do, so it’s a good thing that Ultra Instinct ended up with the latter.
Fans will also be happy to know that Ultra Instinct Goku has a 2L Low. He actually shares the same one as Super Saiyan Blue Goku and thus punches his opponent in their toes. On top of this, Ultra Instinct also has a command grab, so the character should have plenty of ways to open up his opponent’s defenses.
The only thing Ultra Instinct Goku seems to lack at this point is a proper Ki blast. Instead of firing projectiles straight across the screen, Goku performs some fancy hand movements before launching energy across both sides of the screen. It looks suitable for combo extensions but not really for zoning.
Finally, the leaks also reveal the full-length version of Goku and Kefla’s dramatic finish. Sadly, though, the Dramatic Finish belongs to Super Saiyan Blue Goku, and not Ultra Instinct. So as it stands now, the form has no Dramatic Finishes to its name, as the one between Goku and Jiren belongs to Super Saiyan Goku. This does make some sense, though, since Goku has a shirt on during his Finish with Kefla. It wouldn’t make sense for Ultra Instinct to have it since the character tears his shirt off before every fight.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
