The modding community have released plenty of mods that showcase the creativity that fans can bring. The amount of character mods for Dragon Ball FighterZ is staggering, with some adding completely new character skins from the series like Tapion and Kale, to showing off alternate transformations of characters like Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta and Broly. A modder has recently shown off what Super Saiyan God Goku would look like in FighterZ, complete with a custom moveset and not just a cosmetic change.

Goku has been represented a grand total of five times, excluding his fusions with Vegeta as Vegito and Gogeta. These include his base form based on the Saiyan and Namek Sagas, his base Super Saiyan form, his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (or Super Saiyan Blue) form, one version of Goku from Dragon Ball GT, and finally Ultra Instinct Goku. Despite this, modder RCBurrito showed off what Goku’s SSG form would look like in the game, with a trailer showing off his custom moveset.
This mod replaces SSJ Goku from the base roster of Dragon Ball FighterZ, with SSG Goku’s moveset emphasizing grabs and throws, along with a set of unique ki techniques. SSG Goku’s attacks use both existing and custom animations for this moveset, with this most evident with Goku’s new fingergun Ki blast and his strongest super move being the Dragon Fist from GT Goku’s moveset.
Many fans praised the mod, where despite it being another version of Goku in FighterZ, a lot of work went into making SSG Goku somewhat distinctive from his other playable appearances. Others were impressed that the modder was able to create a completely working custom moveset for him, noting how far the modding community has come since the game’s launch.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
