Dragon Ball: The Breakers was first revealed last year, with a closed network test also taking place around the same time. This beta gave fans the essentials, with a choice between classic Dragon Ball comedic relief Oolong or a customizable human character. It also gave fans on the other side the chance to play as Cell, who is as every bit intimidating as he is in canon. Fans will get another chance to try out the game, as revealed in a new trailer from Bandai Namco Entertainment.

This trailer announces that the game will be released later this Fall, October 14, with a gameplay showcase focused on an iconic villain from the franchise, the Galactic Emperor Frieza. Unlike Cell who starts in his larvae stage, Frieza flies around in his first form’s hovercar with his henchmen Zarbon and Dodoria, where he can cause all forms of long-range damage to players or the surrounding environment. The way that Frieza powers up is also shown, where he collects the titular Dragon Balls from the Namekians.

While his second and third forms are present, Frieza’s final and most iconic form is the most terrifying. He can throw energy disc blades towards a player or cause them to explode if they already have low enough health. The trailer also shows a number of ways players can throw off their attacker, such as using the Solar Flare in order to temporarily blind the villain, or Bulma’s charm to distract them.

Another closed network test for Dragon Ball: The Breakers was also announced, sign-ups open until August 1. This period will take place between August 5-6, where players will get the chance to stress test the technical limits of The Breakers’ servers with a portion of the game. A few pre-order bonuses were revealed, such as the Limited Edition Bundle giving fans an exclusive figure of Cell’s cocoon.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers will launch October 14 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
