Thus far, reception has been very positive for the updated version of the monster hunter, with over 93% positive reviews at Steam. For those interested in Capcom’s popular RPG title,  there are three retailers out there competing with discounts.

GMG, DLGamer, and GamesPlanet - all Capcom authorized digital retailers - have discounts on Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. The best deal looks to be at GMG and DLGamer for 20% off. One retailer requires the use of a coupon code while the other offers the discount straight up. Finally, if you’re a UK gamer, GamesPlanet’s own 25% discount looks to be a good option as well.

Given the game has been out for almost a week now, purchasing from any of the retailer above will net you the Steam key instantly so you can get started on downloading the game client. After install the game will take about 20GB of hard drive space.

Haven’t tried out Dragon’s Dogma on console before? The game released back in 2013 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 where it received a decent 80/100 score on Metacritic - though it was crippled with technical issues (lag and frame rates).

These issues are now reportedly fixed in the PC port, which also boasts high-resolution 4K support and 60fps. Fans of the series should consider supporting the port, as Capcom has essentially spelled out that a Dragon’s Dogma sequel potential hinges on how well the port is received commercially.

If you’re looking for a bigger price cut on Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for the PC, we’d suggest checking back in about 2-3 months as that’s usually the timeframe when ports starts receiving larger discounts.
