At the time of this writing, Epic Games or People Can Fly have not responded, but it is noteworthy that the creators of Fortnite are currently hosting a dance submission competition for emotes that may appear in the game. Crazier things have happened, but time will tell if Epic gives the Toronto rapper what he wants:
It remains to be seen if Epic responds or if Drake was being serious, but if Fortnite found its way into some mainstream lyrics, it would only prove the game’s ever-increasing popularity across platforms. Apparently, Canadian record producer Murda Beatz has also been experimenting with Fortnite. Check out the conversation between Drake and Ninja below:

However, despite the popularity of Fortnite, not everyone is happy with the game. A recent petition has called for the game to be banned, and although it began as a joke, it seems there is a solid portion of the population that despises the game – for one reason or another. It doesn’t seem likely that this portion would be happy hearing the Fortnite-related song if it is ever written, but Drake’s fanbase would probably be pretty happy. Perhaps the song would even feature Ninja?
Nevertheless, the relationship between Drake and Ninja seems to be popular enough that Fortnite may at least respond at some point. While some may think it’s just a waiting game for the Hotline Bling emote at this point, that decision rests solely with Epic Games and People Can Fly. If the emote appears in the game, it may very well be hard to choose which is cooler: Hotline Bling or the rock-paper-scissors emote.
Fortnite is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and iOS.
