In 1989, three executives from Trump’s casinos and two crew members were killed in a helicopter crash en route to Atlantic City. The chopper crashed in woodlands near the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. A United Press International news wire published about the crash reported that sources said that Trump was supposed to be on the helicopter himself but at the last minute backed out.
